The Project Manager (PM) shall be held responsible for the planning and the execution of the overall project by maintaining Strategy’s standard of quality, managing and leading the project team, and managing the client relationship.
Manage the project development from initiation to close-out without supervision.
Develop Project Execution Plan (PEP) and associated project plans that outline scope, goals, deliverables, budget, schedule and the needed resources.
Create the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) such that it provides a means for estimating the project and also meets the client’s requirements for tracking the cost.
Clearly communicate to all project team members what the client’s expectations are and what Strategy’s expectations are.
Resolve any project issues that arise during the project by mediating between the client and project team.
Effectively manage project scope, cost and schedule by ensuring any changes to the scope are documented and approved with appropriate project change order forms.
Provide leadership, mentoring and motivation to the entire project team.
Monitor, evaluate and forecast the project team’s performance in relation to the overall job schedule, costs and quality.
Determine the need for external consultants or sub-contractors in order to achieve the project goals.
Oversee in-house engineering and third party sub-contractors for both onshore and offshore projects.
Provide interface between clients and vendors as needed.
Determine how project results will be measured and complete a post-project evaluation to determine the degree that project results were achieved.
Develop new project tools and best practices for project management and execution.
Ensure all project documents are safely archived after project close-out.
Perform other related job duties and assignments as required by Strategy Engineering.
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
10-15 years experience in project management.
Minimum of 10 years in project management experience.
Previous experience in directing multi-discipline engineering teams for project.
Must have the ability to perform detailed engineering design activities within the degreed engineering discipline.
Vast understanding of design, fabrication, facilities and pipeline aspects of the oil and gas industry.
Familiarity with project management tools and/or project software.
Excellent communication, leadership problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to rapidly adapt and positively respond to changes in environment and priorities.
Demonstrated previous leadership in effectively managing project staff.
Ability to elicit teamwork and cooperation from project team members, Strategy Senior Management and Clients.
